CAMPUS SAFETY
Quality of Life, Safety, and Security
No priority is greater than that of ensuring the safety of the students, staff, and visitors of Newport Christian School. It is the belief of our entire staff that in order to fulfill their mission of providing a quality education and learning experience to each individual, that the highest standards of safety are maintained. We fulfill this by adhering to a strict safety protocol that is followed 24/7/365.
In addition to the safety system that has garnered the confidence of every student’s family, we work actively with our community in support and service to earn the trust, confidence, and respect of our campus everyday.
Armed Security
Since the fall of 2022, NCS has hired an armed security guard through Allied Universal to patrol our campus every school day to keep our students safe.
Immunizations
The California Department of Public Health and the California Department of Education requires children entering kindergarten to have a total of five DTP (diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis) immunizations; four polio immunizations and two MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) immunizations.
In addition, all students entering California school from out-of-state schools must show proof of the varicella immunization.
Students entering the 7th grade must show proof of a “Tdap” booster shot before starting school.
